Norco Bigfoot - Could I live with it??

I'm panicking as the news is that the cycle to work scheme may not be so cheap in a few months (there's something in the news section of this very site!) and I'm limited to the Wheelies shop as work wont give me the vouchers... curses.
I was eyeing up the norco bigfoot but I was wondering if this is a bike I could use for long rides in the welsh trail centres, a few of the tamer DH runs as well as a bomb round the local BMX track? The biggest fear is the fork being too hard but I'm guessing it'll be an improvement on my knackered old Judy!!
Also if anyone knows if the medium is a 15 or a 17 seat tube that'd help too.
Failing that does anyone have a better suggestion out of the choices on the wheelies.co.uk??
Cheers like.

Just reluctantly sold my Bigfoot, '05 frame.
Regret it, but the Mrs sorted it out with her mate, when I said I needed a new frame.
Mine was XC light but Trail/Freeride strong. Bit too harsh for my butt though...
Was ok with a Thudbuster fitted.
The newer ones are more FR/DH orientated, heavier, slacker angles I believe.0
