I'll be playing tourist in London this weekend. Recommendations for a good/big bike shop would be mush appreciated. Closest tube to where I will be staying is Edgeware Road if that helps. Not really looking to buy anything just want to immerse myself in bikeness for an hour or two and get some ideas to put on the "to buy" list.

Thanks
Nick

London W1W 8BD - is a nice shop for city bikes, less so for roadies.

A shame that the Rapha Cycle Club closed down in July, or that would have hit the mark. How about sitting by the road around Regent's Park, watching the bikes go by...?

If Velorution are open Sunday, then you can double up with Evans, as it is round the corner.

My wife's comment on Velorution: "odd" :)

what? You mean I actually have to read the posts before replying

  • Thanks for the suggestions. Managed to fit in both Condor and Evans. Liked Condor for its "style", liked Evans for the volume of stuff, especially bikes, to look at.

Nice to see the Boris Bikes being used in large numbers.
