Hi
I have a Giant Talon 2.5 ( http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/mountain/3682/35817/) which was reviewed on this site (http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... 5-10-35418)
The main things was the crap forks, as a £475 bike is is worth upgrading the forks? Or just wait a year or two until I upgrade to a new bike.
Thanks

New forks are an easy fix and currently Merlin currently have rock shox tora SL's for £140, compared to the cheap suntours currently fitted they will be a revelation (no pun intended :P ).
They're not the lightest of forks but for the money u cant really do much better in terms of stiffness and performance, im running a set and im more than happy with them.0 -
or you could take a look at on one as they are selling RS toras for £100 in their clearance sale

Well you'll need to trim them down to size, fit a crown race and a star nut. Its pretty easy to screw one of those 3 things up so if you dont feel completely confident then I suggest taking it to a bike shop, they wont charge you much, maybe £20?0
