Single Speed

Can I run a single speed with normal QR wheels on a frame that has horizontal dropouts, I'm a bit worried about it all coming loose and ditching me under a bus!!

    if the Qr is tightened correctly it is not an issue.

    yes, I do.(on my fixed)
    it is a proper steel skewer, (mavic i think) but shimano are prob the best)
    and i use a surly chaintug on the drive side to keep everything snug and prebent slippage, pull on the skewer.

    Running singlespeed doesn't put as much strain on the transmission as a fixed setup o you should be OK.
