    Morning,

Day off today, going out on the bikes with the missus. Which means probably the blue route at bedgers. I may sneak off and have a go on the new black route, not in any way a proper black route, but fun enough.

    Then pub lunch me thinks!

    Migranes are EVIL

I suffer also, but my doc just tells me to take ibuprofen which does sweet FA! Sometimes, if I get a bad one, it can do me in for 3 days :( I think I need the drugs of which you speak!!!

Today I am at work boooo, but there is pretty much nobody here so I think much skiving to be done...then off climbing this evening! Have a sore shoulder for some reason, have no idea why as I dodn't stack it once snowboarding last night!

  • Greetings.

    Today I'm locked and loaded.

Couple of hours in the office then off for a nice lunch and then it's hasta la vista clay pigeon! (actually, I'll probably miss more than I hit).

    Morning internets!

Hmmm, today... Today I need to work a bit... Then, I'm not entirely sure. I'm sure there's something I can do to stave off boredom later :)

Have you tried them there Migraleave (or something similar) tablets? There's pink and yellow ones. You're meant to eat one colour when you feel the migraine coming on and it's meant to head it off at the pass, as it were.

I'm sure there's a combination of food/drink/temperature/wind speed that means I can concentrate. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get that right this morning. <mind wanders>

I used to get migraines when I was a teenager. I'm glad they stopped. Proper seeing-coloured-blobs-argh-brain-anurism-stop-walking-fly-you-make-too-much-noise-please-stop-the-floor-moving-<vomit> ones too.

Shortly after, I stopped using my brain and everything was okay.

I recently started having "ice pick migraines" (google it), and they are nasty.

Basically the same as (I guess) being stabbed in the brain; really really intense pain that lasts for a second or so, and makes you physically cringe. Imagine a seering electric shock inside your head that knocks you off balance at random (the random part makes it scarier). Not nice.

Aside from that, all is well! Just back from a ride and in need of bathings

I'm just waiting for the national lime shortage and increasing reports of women being found in ditches with their heads facing backwards.

For me today is also wonderfully free of meh. Between now and the second week of September I'm in work for a grand total of 4 days. As work don't want to pay me more money, overtime or on call allowance, I've been told to take TOIL, which I'm doing for all the 12 hour days I've worked since the start of June. As I won't be at work, I plan to spend as much time as possible on the bike.

Nearly the whole of next week will also be delightfully free of children as they are due to go and stay with grandparents. Not sure whose grandparents they are, but they're staying with them anyway.

    Good Morning Freaks!

    Sun's out. 8)

    Bacon's already been consumed. :D

Today's already looking pretty good. Still off work. Going into town shortly to upgrade my daughter's mobile phone - much haggling over the 'deal' will ensue. Then taking Grandson out somewhere, probably lunch in Morrisons followed by the farm park.

Will hopefully get a cheeky ride in (probably in the dark) later. :D

Aw man, I wants me some bacon!

I got bored last night and made proper, nice scotch eggs. They were damn good. Nom nom nom. I shall go for a run later today if the rain stops. I don't really want to, but feel I should.

    Morning All,

Feeling a little jaded today, a tree decided to punch me in the arm on yesterday's night ride and it's aching today. Plus I forgot a change of t-shirt from my commute in....

    morning,
All fun and games in the bunker this morning, my concrete cell is fine, but upstairs there seems to of been a tap running all night and the U-Bend broken off the wall. (coincidence?)

apart from work all is tickety boo, had a good night ride last night, although too light for lights to have any affect and too dark to see clearly.
bike is working well, legs are free of cramp, and i had bucket loads of energy

Minion is back today which is nice, so i'll be back on here more often

No bacon for me as i'm on a must loose weight/get fitter desperation move.

I shall have to see if anywhere in this country sells decent bacon.

Last place I worked there was an office with a huge damp problem. Old building, lots of little rooms. This one was like a cell. It was my team's for a while... But anyhoo, this here majorly damp wall has a major leak in.

Oh, and the 400volt power supply for a tonne of servers on the other side. Nobody else had noticed this little design feature. There was dripping water on top of the casing... Har.

I want the weather to be nicer, I want my bike here so I can at least go for a road ride and race little cars around little streets or sometihng. Bah.
  • Yay! Day off, sun's shining and no migraine for me. I had a double helping of weetabix this morning to fuel me up for a nice cruise over the hills. Dunno how greasy the trails will be so I think I'll drop the Nevegals to 30 to be on the safe side.

I'm taking my new toy to play with. It's a very basic crappy little Garmin Geko thingy that allegedly finds satellites and tells you where you are and where you've been. Actually I know where I'm going to be so I'm really testing it to see if IT does.

Do we have satellites in Wiltshire? We have crop circles - are they caused by satellites? Must make a note to ask in sheeps and yeehaas advice corner.

Man, you measure the presuure in your tyres? I just poke them and decide then if they need more air or if I can be bothered... But then again, I've got tractor tyres on my bike, so it doesn't really matter.

played squash, managed a draw overall which wasnt too bad. i used a new technique today and that was to fart real hard and this seemed to pu tmy opponent off pretty well.

whoever mentioned scotch eggs: cheers, i now need to make my first attempt at making scotch eggs for my tea.

el cap: lunch in morrisons? fuck my old boots thats a good idea, i recommend a breakfast for lunch then im sure i dont need to tell you to pick up some meat (preferably balti)pies ffom the hot obvious for pudding

'twas me. Make sure you use good mince with a lowish fat content, salt it quite well and maybe mix in a few breadcrumbs otherwise it'll distort and crack. Still taste fine though :D

I like squash but I never got the hang of stopping before running into a wall :(

i tend to actually use the wall as a method of stopping, it seems easier and quicker than trying to actually change direction!

    Morning.

Today will be spent having a trip to the hospital library, then uni work as always. Tonight I'm going to a summer fair to see my sister and her stall.
  • Morning!
Today I'm trying to figure out why 2 computers aren't letting me install software on them. Fecking Macs, it was all going so swimmingly too. Nevermind.

Tonight, I have paper shredding to do. Yay. Need to change the puncture on my commuter too, I can't be bothered with the train anymore.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Just booked to have colour put in the under layers of my hair, question is do I go for dark red or bright red, bearing in mind I have dark brown hair with gingery bits in naturally anyway.

Breakfast? At Lunchtime? Such decadence, but a dammed good proposal. I think I shall indulge myself...

Oh trust me, a pie related purchase will happen. As I'm what could be called a 'regular' at the Pie counter, I quite often ask for the 4 pie "Pick N Mix" and let the baker choose the 4 pies... The Balti one's are okay, but not my favourite, which would be the meat & potato ones.
