Sorry to thread hijack (a bit)

What overshoes do you guys wear with MTB style shoes...specifically the DHB ones?

    Ta Much

Got some Pro Venturas - a bit steamy for this time of year, but just the job for winter. They have a fair bit of rubber reinforcement on the obvious contact points

Wear is a little bit of an issue with commuting, but mainly due to TL stops.

Size XL fits (very snugly) my size 43 (UK 9) Spesh MTB shoes

they come up a bit small though so order a larger size then normal!

for overshoes i swear by my endura MT500 overshoes, I cant believe how much of a soaking they take.

  • I commute in a pair of Scott Boulder shoes. They are fine for walking in and the recessed cleat doesn't get in the way for walking.

I managed to find an older pair than the ones above that had a more preferable, in my eyes, colour scheme. (Grey / silver / black). I think I picked them up for about £35-40.

Most of my shoes come from Aldi or Lidl. They work fine. But I did have a pair of Specialized Sonoma, which were very walkable. I've just replaced them with dhb T1s, which are a bit flexy for serious riding, but good for commuting, discreet at work, and definitely good to walk on.

I bought the neoprene Enduras from CRC. Useless. The zip seized and then broke after a couple of months earlier this year.

The Planet Xes were good, but not quite as warm. Might invest in a really decent pair this autumn.

Nah, they're not fine for walking either.

lol.. a definite improvement from feeling like I'm on an ice rink on the tiled floor near our front door and doesn't shred the cleats in a matter of days like the unprotected ones.

Specialized Taho. So comfy I wear them when I need to walk places, whether I'm taking a bike or not.
    +1

I've been wearing these for 3 years on my commute, they are excellent. Only the occasional tap dance noise from the cleat reminds you they are spd's when walking in them.

MTB specifics from Gore, fully waterproof and breathable enough to wear year round. Spending less is a false economy I have found.
