Hi Guys,
I want to write a blog about the bike hire scheme, and focus on the payment side (thats what my blog is about!)
Is it effective? Would mobile payments work? What about tourists/non-residents?
Your help would be much appreciated.

Being able to use Oyster card would be an improvement.

Isn't the issue with Oystercard that you it isn't necessarily linked to your credit card or some form of ID? So if you get an Oystercard, stick £5 of credit on it using cash, then you can ride off with a bike, with no way of tracing you or charging you if the bike isn't returned.

They could have just made the key oyster compatible (maybe it is).

    Hmmm, good point!

I don't know what I'd change really, apart from the above. I think it's rather good!

However, the thing that's still stopping most non-cyclists from using it is the perception of danger on the roads.

Don't know what can be done about that.
