You will also need to check your fork/frame can take a bigger rotor
  • What peter said. If the forks can take it all you will need is a new mount.

I've changed rotor size quite a few times and it hadn't even dawned on me that certain forks might not take bigger rotors, where can you find this out, manufacteurs websites?

BTW - superstar components is a great place to get cheap rotor and adaptor combos.

The max is nearly always 185 or 205 for a 32mm fork. Manufacturers website will tell you for your specific forks.

This is from the fox website (so Fox specific):

What is the maximum size disc rotor I can put on my fork?
32 & 36mm forks are designed to use disc rotors with an outside diameter of 160-205mm. 40 models are designed to use rotors with an outside diameter of 200-225mm.
