I will be going to fort William at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone has any suggestion as to where I can find a cafe along the M74 (Lockerbie to Hamilton) that does a decent breakfast not including the so called "services" .
I don't mind calling off the motorway to a village so long as it's not miles of the beaten track.
Cheers.

The Grange at Shawhead flyover next to Coatbridge does good scran at decent prices.
Otherwise there is a magic cafe (Belles) on Quarry Street in Hamilton that is dirt cheap but does the finest cooked breakfast you will haveFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
Aye Hamiltons not a bad shout, some pretty decent cafes kicking around, as Coatbridgeguy said on Quarry street.0

Google that. It's a hotel so will be a bit more expensive than the cafes (thought not as piss taking as your average services cafe)Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
D'nisi on Quarry St is good too. More expensive than Belles and not that much better (though there is a blonde that works there who is simply awesomeFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0

Pub/truck stop (it is a pub but does open for breakfast) just off J14 Crawford, not sure of the name of it but it can be seen from the motorway, literally 30 seconds from the junction, good grub, nice people. Or there's a very good truck stop (all welcome, not just truckers) just off J10 at Lesmahagow, stopped there several times in the past and have to say the food is quality !! Going north, exit J10, 2nd exit off the r/about and it's immediately on the right.0
