Today I managed to get out on my bike for the first time in 2 1/2 years and 2 1/2 stone heavier, I did 6.2 miles in 40 minutes and half on road and half off, my average used to be about 10mph so I'm not far away, I'll have tomorrow off and hopefully get out again on Wednesday. Boy does it feel good after all this time, got a tender fumpf though

it can only get easier from here on in, good start and keep up the good work.
  • It was good to get out, after 2 1/2 years of pain clinics, back clinics, physio, about every medication available and injections into the facet joint and sacral iliac on my back, on top of that I only have one good leg anyway as I lost my right leg below the knee in 86. My left knee is hurting as is the stump on my right leg, but boy is my bum hurting now and I've a Specialized gel saddle on as well. Oh oh oh!
