Hi Guys:
This is my first posting in the forum. I found this bike on the Evans website. it has a carbon frame, a carbon fork, a carbon seatpost. SRAM rival groupset. The wheelset is Fulcrum evolution race 5.
This bike was 1999.9; now it is down to 999 pounds. I am choosing between this and Planet x SRAM red (the new one). Can you please give me your thoughts

Hello,
i have the older aeos which was much better speced for the money, than the new range of them,i would go for the planet x as everyone i know thats riding themas they allways say their so good value for money and why arent more people buying the frames,i would look at buying a px frame and building it with a good campag groupset which will still be affordable,centaur/anthena/chorus
hope this helps0 -
Thank you for the response. this bike has the same older aeos specs. I am not sure if you say that Campy is better than the SRAM rival or red. I have never tried a campy in the past.
can you tell me if you are happy with the frame of the aeos? this will be very useful.

That Pinnacle would defo win it for me, seems a right bargain if you can get one? The P-X will be much more common, also don't forget that they skimped in other areas and doesn't have a full red groupset, but looks like you wont have to deliberate as the Evans site says no longer availablewinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

This what I thought. The pinnacle has a better wheelset, and rival brakes. Fortunately one of my friends ordered one and he does not like it so I have a chance but I wanted feedback about the quality of the frame and handling of the bike.0
