Bought of a lad at work who's dad had "too many bikes" :?
Thought it would be a good replacement for my Giant Terrago FS1 '03 that was stolen
Unsure of year, it was fairly stock except for tyres - Schwalbe land cruisers, grips - Odi yeti and seat - Specialised bg.
First to go was the Magura Julies LP's fitted a set of Hayes 9's with Superstar 203 V8's and pads, then fitted a pair of Straitline components X-Ray levers.
Didn't like the rear coil shock so upgraded to a 190x51 RockShox Monarch 3.3 in D3 tune, so much better than the DNM Torch mm22ar that was fitted.
Just replaced the front forks, which were Suntour XCP-95's, with a pair of RockShox Reba World Cup spec dual air with carbon crown and steerer and poplock also fitted a Pro-Lite carbon specific steerer wedge.

Get a cover on your bottle. It will get caked in dirt!
Fantastic bike though. Hope you really enjoy it.0 -
NICCCCCCE! looks a bit messy for me, personally, with all the kit, locks, pumps bottle.... but it looks like it should ride nicely......
I like bikes and stuff0 -
Thanks
The bottle is just a temporary measure until I get a camel back bladder for my small back pack that had a cheap bladder in that leaked soaking my arse with lucozade sport when on gravel tracks today it got covered in a fine dusty grit
I did have the bottle cage on the back of the seat post tube with a router bit box filled with a trail repair kit, the contents of a puncture patch kit, spare QR acorns and springs, a tube of lithium grease, loctite and copper slip Allen keys, Chain tool and spare fasteners odds and sods for trail repairs like a smaller version of the SKS Cagebox but now I don't bother and when I get a new bladder I'll remove the cage.
I use the bike a lot, its my main transport! I go on long XC rides and commuting and nipping to the shops etc so the lock is needed and the pump is for when I'm doing long rides as I always carry a spare tube on my long rides and have a tube and pump in my works locker for when I commute as its always seems to be on the way I get a flat :?
The bike was a good buy but since the upgrades its far far better for what I use it for and I really enjoy riding it, bought a cheap speedo on friday and fitted it went on my longest ride yet today 35.9miles according to the speedo and was only a little tired not sore or anything though.Mountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.

I know the they were overkill but was a kit I made up for when I rode with a mate who's bike was falling apart and little 3ml tube of loctite is always handy to have.Mountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.

Why was he on a Carerra as well ??? (Joke) looks nice and very different...to me it epitomises the MTB scene..there is to much snobery...if you like it pimp it...and if your happy with it who gives a shit about other peoples opinions...get and and enjoy it !!0 -
Thanks lol he rides a Toys R Us Rhino recruit or patrol or something... He has to pedal to keep going on the flat and even on slight downward gradients when he said he wanted a bike I said to get a good cheap second hand one off ebay or out of the paper and offered to help him look for one. next thing I know he's got the first thing he saw in toys r us :?
Mine is not a bike I'd have considered usually but it was pay day, I got it for a good price.
Thinking Sram X7 stuff next pay day but I'd love the X0 Tango orange groupset with the Truvative Tango orange Noir crankset 8) but cant justify the costMountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.
