Indeed yes, it should have come with one!
Best thing to do is buy a whole front new hub, and scavenge bits - will get new bearings, cones, qr skewer, the axle.

Nice one SS, is it hard to take the hub apart and fit the bits onto that hub?
could i do it with basic tools?

Cone spanner (13mm I believe), and either a 15mm or 17mm spanner for the lock nut.
That is it.
Shimano have the exact specs in the tech docs. A cheaper none disc hub probably uses the same internals.0 -

Cool thanks, i cant be bothered to stuff in the tech docs so i am gonna take your word for it and buy that Hub of jejames.

The parts may be different lol, ie seals and cones. But the axle will be the same.0

Some times the cones have built in dust seals - it may not go far enough into the hub, or too far and you cannot access the spanner flats. Different sized spacers too.
Only way to know is to dwnload the tech manuals and compare the part numbers.0 -
Or just spend an extra 7 pounds instead of reading, this one would defiantly fit right?
