So exactly how long is a piece of string ? (1st 10 mile TT)

Age 41, road bike, reasonably fit, club social rider & occasional sportive. What sort of time should a first time outing achive?...

Any thoughts?

anything faster then 30 mins will be fantastic for your first time mate!

27 mins and 17 seconds. Or less.

Lots of factors, winds, terrain, turns etc etc.

Bronze standard at the club I did my first TT with was 26mins, I did my first in 28:16, I'd agree with the above about sub 30mins being a good goal, however, any time is a good time (IMO) if you've pushed hard.

Theres always next week to beat it

A petition should be put toegether to get the NHS to subsidise the bikes and kit.

Although it's great just doing it on the bike you have.
