thought this would be the best place for this but Mods please move if not.
Saw a dumped Haro BMX by the canal today, knackered wheels but I'm in need of a project and I'm tempted to rescue it. I know nothing about BMXs but seem to recall that Haro is a decent brand therefore the frame might be worth doing up - is this the case?
thanks

yeh haro arent bad arent the best but arent the worst. they are quite heavy but compared to mtb weight isnt an issue on bmx (except Race). if its got 1 1/8th headset its probly worth fixing but if its threaded forget it they werent worth much then and were heavierI rode what you dug last summer0

If it's an old school Haro (80's) then yes, 90's no. Modern Haro are entry level bikes.
Weight IS important on any BMX, get yourself to a skatepark and you'll understand why. Cheap bikes will be 30lb+, decent bikes in the 24-26lb range.0 -
it won't be worth fixing up.0

Thanks for your replies, I know I won't make any cash, just fancy a project really. I'm going to have another look this afternoon and see if the frame is straight.road0
