Want to start racing!!

Hi, i live in suffolk which isnt the greatest place to ride and the problem is im only just 17 so i can't drive yet but i want to start racing but i can't travel to far. I have ridden up the peaks once before and have been around thetford a few times on my long travel on one scandel so i reckon i'll be able to handle it :) Anyone know anything thats going on?

    There's the Mud Sweat and Gears series around you, although I don't know if there are any left this year. There's also the Thetford winter series races, which are always good fun, if not properly XC racing, more enduros.

    there are two mud sweat and gears left; next one on the 19th on september.

    check the British Cycling website, which has a good list of events across the country

    also take a look at xcracer.com
    Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

    +1 for the Thetford Winter Series. I did it for the first time last year and its very well run and the Sport category isn't too hard!

    Ok cheers guys im going to do the last two rounds of the mud sweat and gears and ill give the winter series a go when they open it up :)
