Got choice of these two and having a wee bit trouble deciding.
The Merida has a few good reviews yet i can't find anything on the Moda.
Weighing the two up, Moda is XT, better wheels and a lot lighter but unsure on how good the frame is. The merida has better forks and rides really well from what i can see.
Hmmmmmssss... anyone ridden both or can givea bit of useful advice...

iirc the moda's are based on the cube designs??? Good bikes though, and a good deal of kit for the money, might be tricky gettinga demo ride though??Timmo.

The moda is triple butted frame
lighter and stiffer than double butted
The frames are made in the same factory as the cubes as i have been told from a very good source but they are double butted
Go for a triple butted frame if its in your price range everytime
Also very high spec with the moda and the best wheels in this price point
xt groupset at this price £999 unbeliveable0 -
I bought the Moda yesterday! I also rode Marin nail trail, and a land rover (!)- narrowed it down to the LR & moda in the end. Very impressed by build quality and level of kit etc with it- and paid £950 for it.
If I'd gone in and bought the first thing I saw/loved look of, I'd have gone for the Marin, so really does prove you have to ride them. But (obv) I'd highly recommend the Moda!0
