help request for trip computer.

Hi. after buyin my new allez i tried and failed in fitting my trip computer form my mtb. the sensor is wrong shape and too big. So need a new one. obviously wireless is the best choice im guessing? Can i have some recommendations on best/favourite ones and best prices. Thanks.

From personal experiance, i have had 2 Cateye wireless computers go wrong on me and while on a ride recently, two friends had the same cateye model that gave the same readings which were over 1.3 miles out after a 50 mile ride... but I know many on here will say they are good. I have a wired cateye on my MTB and it is ok, but on my Roadie i have the Specialised Turbo Elite wireless and can not fault this in any way.
With computers as with most things, you get what you pay for so might be best to pay a few extra quid.
Most people recomend Cateye on wiggle...

If you do get a Cateye Strada Wireless make sure its fully clipped into its holder. I nearly lost mine last week as it wasn't properly seated - did a mile and a half return over the road we had ridden on and fortunately found it on the road.0

Well i think they are much the same generally. Overall I think i have had some bad luck with them I have had a cateye (corded) which just stopped working soon after a year, and changed as goodwill;, a trek (cordless) which never worked properly and changed by Trek; and I have had 2 sigmas which worked for about 2 or 3 years before the buttons went dodgy. I have also a ciclosport where the cadence function conked out and I was refunded under guarantee (wiggle no longer stocked them. Bought a replacement ciclosport and the HRM didn't work so that went back to ciclosport to be fixed under warranty
I have not had a problem with a VDO that i have had 3 years

Tried out a halfords own brand one today, went in to look around, saw it in the bargain bin with a £3 sticker on it. rude not to buy it really lol. Got it to the car and realised it hadnt even been opened, just had torn plastic on outside of box lol so saved my self £30. result. and it fits and works a treat. cheers for advise guys.0

I have a second hand Halfords own brand wireless one (was on son's mtb but took it off when the bike went off to uni with him) Seems pretty accurate, and haven't had to change any batteries in 2 years.
