I've seen the threads demonstrating DDD's lack of bike maintenance skills, so this may help.

Buy some tools, get a little learning and get busy! It should lead to less 'my bike doesn't work' threads and more 'look at what fettling I've done' thread posts.

    Thanks

I know how to change a cassette, free hub, brakes and change a innertube/tyre.

I just need to learn how to dial the gears just right and change a bottom bracket.

I would do more if I had a Garden or Garage.

    Get one of these.

Not what I use, but it will (may) do the job. Stange that the next nearest similar product is nine times the price.

Yikes no! Not for something expensive and carbon! Or even something not made by Apollo! I got one of these in the end:

Not cheap but no clamping of any carbon tubes. Makes it very easy to work on the bike even if you don't have much space. Slightly more faffy than a traditional stand but I feel happier about how the bike is held - and you get the same amount of access to each side at once.

I've got one of these, which I'm happy with:

Similar to the Park but a bit cheaper in the PBK sale...
