To buy this:

Strip it, put parts on my Ruckus and sell the rest. I reckon a nice profit could be had.

  • Thats a Helluva deal, I would keep it for that money.... outstandlingy good kit!!!
I had a go on one (not that model) and it was a nice ride... shame (like GT) that people dont think they are 'boutique' enough.... :? :?

If you do end up getting it for parts, I may be interested in the frame (possibly forks as well)... :)

Why is that? They used to be very highly regarded for their BMX bikes. :?

my gt is a clothes horse for a future frame replacement, sometimes deals are too good to ignore even if the bike is something you dont particularly want.

I think that's worth the risk.

Strangely enough.. I was looking at THIS as a donor bike for my 456 project..

    focus-killerbee-2010-med.jpg

I'd use the cranks, wheels (although front would have to be converted to Maxle hub), F&R derailleurs, X7 shifters, seatpost & saddle.
The stem and handlebars may be used, but I'd sell certainly the frame, forks and brakes off and I am sure I'd make some money back on those..

To be honest, that looks like a nicer frame than the 456 :?

Yea, but my 150mm RS Revelations (which cost more than that bike) wouldn't gel with it...

    20 Years ago. Times change.

That's not to say the quality of the bikes have though. Definitely worth a punt at the price.

i built many a mongoose bmx at the shop. they are pretty heavy and old fashioned compared to the new skool such as Fit, Felt, Eastern and Sunday.

+ mongooses teocali/caan are a "strange" ride. kinda of floaty feel and everything pitches forward on breaking.

At least they hold together under breaking. Most things just, well... break.
