Embarassing Music Confessions

I have seen multiple other threads (which I have taken part in), where people extol the virtue of their music collections, and can list some real gems they have.

However, everyone has made poor choices and has duff music lying around (and we're not talking about guilty pleasures here either). It's time to "'fess up" and admit it, let us know what real clangers you have got sitting in your vinyl / CD / tape collections.

I'll admit to owning the following musical crimes:

Straight up - Paula Abdul
The chicken Song - Spitting Image
Laser Love - After the fire

c'mon own up you lot out there. Admit the really heinous ones, and be freed from your guilt. :D

Is that the one that goes 'Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron, etc' ?

My brother picked up a 'bargain'pack of 10 singles which contained the reply single entitled 'Gordon is not a moron'.

BTW, for some reason I have 'Hunting High and Low' by A-Ha.

Thats not an embarrassment, thats a class song. One of the first singles I bought too.

My embarrassment record is a Gary Glitter Lp.

I have to admit that I have 'After The Fire', but mustn't have played it for over 25 years. My first singles that I bought were pretty crap, but I was only 10 so you have to make allowances.

I used to ask him to play Chopin for me in his house, mailny the Polonaise...

He would play the first part, but then HE would get embarassed !!!!

Shame, as he was really very good.

looked through my cd,s and lp,s nothing embarrassing in there , then had a look through my 45,s mostly rock, punk, new wave, 2 tone all good stuff from the late 70,s to mid 80,s then found a single by Baccara called "Yes sir i can boogie" must have bought it on holiday abroad around 1977, god its sh*t but my excuse is i was only 14 and must have thought it was cool at the time, i doubt anybody under 40 will have heard it but it was a massive hit all over Europe

I guess Eloise by the Damned is the nearest to embarassing with its overblown pomp and all round tripeyness lyrics, but I love it and play it regularly.

oh and Timbuk-3 The futures so bright I gotta wear shades.

Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Boom Shake the Room on CD single.

I've also got the Sonic the Hedgehog single and John Lee Hooker best of.

My music is most random. Currently watching Eminem Top 40 videos and have a Happy Hardcore mix tape plus some Gabba from the early 90's, whilst also loving 60's and 70's favorites.

My best night out recently has been The Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Equally if I still purchased music NDubz would be in my possession

Well, some people have no taste. Nobody should ever be embarrassed about liking Roy Orbison.
