Worth Upgrading?

Thinking about donating parts off my bike ( Rockhopper SL ) to my daughter's Giant Boulder, as I gradually upgrade stuff. The only thing I can see that I'd need to buy new would be some disc wheels for the Boulder - less than £100 for Shimano MT15's (??) from Merlin. The Boulder could then have the fork (80mm Reba SL), brakes ( Elixir 5 levers/Juicy 3 calipers), front (deore) and rear (XT shadow) mechs, crankset (deore hollowtech II) plus all the other finishing kit as and when that goes too - or am I missing something very fundamental that would stop me attempting to do this?
Cheers.

it will all swap over . it would seem very gucci spec for the giant but i dont see why not.
  • It's a very nice looking frame tbh - and I thought if I could "keep it in the family" then why not?!

i reckon it is recycling in the best way possible and you end up with 2 nice bikes, even if one is for someone else :D
