Clearly the marketing men will want you to believe that you need 'full Dura-Ace' for best results.
Not true ,in my experience.
I have Tiagra,105 ,Ultegra and Dura-Ace transmission parts all mixed together on the same bike without a problem.
So long as you stick to the basic principle of shifters/chain/cassette being all 10 speed you should be fine.
also on the whats in the box question, anyone know whether it comes with the dura ace cables or should i save £20 and just use ordinary cables that i get for free?

Unless they have been removed from a bike prior to sale...

I need to replace my gear and brake cables and was going to go straight for the Dura Ace sets as they're not that expensive. Does anybody know if these will work OK with Ultegra 6700 SL Groupset? They look pretty beefy and as Shimano lable everything as "designed for Dura Ace" I'm not sure if that's a recommendation or the only thing they'll work with...
