And it was very very nice!
I wasnt overly impressed with the new SL pro in red but it looked great in white and black.
I checked out the nanolight clearance on a couple of them and it looked totally fine to me, no problem at all with 22mm 23mm tyres and i think bigger would be ok as well.
You can really get a good look at everything and they have a turbo set up to try bikes.
The new TT bike looks fast.
I also saw some 20mm carbon tubs with the new PX logo, They where very light!
I over heard a guy who works for them saying they are putting some ex demo stock out for sale soon as well so there should be some big bargains on the old sl pro comming up.
I would highly recomend if your in the area go and take a look, its a beautifull place and the nanolight really impressed me.

That's good to know. Interesting about the tyre clearance on the Nanolight.Mens agitat molem0 -
Yeah i didnt like the look of the red one in photos, I'd prefer it if there was a contrasting colour, like the red and black on the Uncle John.
...I'll have to go for a ride to their showroom one weekend.0 -
Oh, when are the 20mm wheels out, anyone know?0

I bought an on-one merino wool jersey, £27.50..... Spiceworld!0 -
im pleased the showroom is going down well , it was a bit of a missing piece of our jigsaw
the carbon rims have been in stock for about 2 months now and we simply forgot to put em on the website , bit of a scoolboy error eally
Our new 50mm and 20mm rims are being produced by the same factory producing for FFWD , they use a smoothwall technology that gets the weight down , and strength up - so the 50mm handbuilt wheels are coming in sub 1300g and ride lovely .
The 20mm rims were actually a cancelled order so we bought them at a very good price , we will pass those saving on with an introductory price of 125 pounds per rim , FFWD are retailing these at 450 euros i think.
They are mentally light - 250g ish , well probably put an 85kg weight limit on as we only have 20 / 24 .
We will get mark minting our in house wheelbuilder to build up some wheels next week , probably on sapim laser or DT competition , Im not sure youd bother building these with cx ras / aerolite spokes - theyre for weight not aerodynamics . With out in house hubs we should be able to do a few wheelsets at around 399 pounds .
Ive got a set of DT ceramic 190g campag hubs ready to build my own wheels , going to run them on a super record group , and nanolight hm frame - im currently at 90kg so will test that weight limit .0 -
Just building up my wife's new nanolight at home, and have to say there is plenty of clearance with 23mm prorace 3s.
First impressions are that it is a nice frame, v light obviously and will be interested to see how it rides (being built up with centaur and zondas).
One thing I really notice in the flesh that wasn't as apparent from the photos is that the headtube is truly massive!
I have to say I think the PX range is expanding in the right directions: but keep the value stuff too!Andrew

I'd like to see a set built with the same bladed spokes as the Model B and Pro 50 wheels - couldn't hurt to aero them up0 -
I am very tempted, but not sure if I can justify the spending (or that I like tubular yet). They just are so light! Must be amazing to ride, would go nicely with my PX Ti.0

Indeed, tubular wheels are simply too impractical to consider them, unless you have a pure race bike, which you do not use for training/club/leisure rides, especially when for a similar price you can get good lightweight clinchers. I'd like to see PX do some more higher end clinchers, as they'd go well with my PX too.0 -
i'd like to see a planet x aluminium road bike, something around the £700 mark..
I love their products but dont want a carbon winter training bike, something like the boardman comp.0 -

Yeah the Alu SL was a lovely bike, and I still have an Alu Uncle John which rides superbly. If they produced an Alu package for £700-900 I think it would be a real winner...yet companies seem to want to force carbon down our throats.0 -

Big fat YES! I agree!0 -
new sl team alloys are in production - we just ran out of stock and forgot to reorder
here in about 45 days0 -
went today, was rudely greeted, in a can i help you manner, was followed round the showroom, felt uncomfortable throughout, like i shouldn't have been there, generally felt like i was intruding,
very odd :x0 -
Yeah i can see that, it was a bit odd having to get buzzed in.
Nobody followed us around but it is more a showroom than a shop.
What impressed me was the stuff they sold, if it was a proper shop i probably would have been back by now, its not the type of place you can just pop in and grap an inner tube.
It has a car showroom vibe i felt.. They need to make it more a shop and im sure theyd have great sales.0 -

+1 I bought some Planet X Pro hubs in blingy red and had them built up with IRD cadence aero (30mm rims) and Sapim CX ray spokes. Weight was 1500g, total cost £330. Why don't Planet X do wheels like this? They could also do similar wheels with a shallow alu rim and get them in under 1400g for the same price for people who want climbing wheels. An obvious addition to the range?0
