unfortunately the rumours are true
Esher Shore Bike Park in Surrey, South-East England is set to close on 1st September 2010
the last day for riding is Monday 30th August 2010
rising insurance costs and falling rider attendance means this not-for-profit facility can no longer meet its running costs, and the difficult decision has been made to close the bike park for good
huge thanks to all the 1000's of riders that have used Esher Shore over the past 7 years, and to the bike magazines like MBUK, the photographers, bike forums and park sponsors who have supported and made Esher Shore possible

Bad Times man, especially after many people may have seen it for the first time in September's MBUK0

That's a shame! I've never been and was planning to go some day as the blue shore sounds great for me to learn on. It's actually closer than I thought so may be able to get there before it closes.
There's no way to cover the costs with a little increase in membership fee?0 -
That's a damn shame, place looks amazing. Wish I could make the time to get in and see it for myself Full marks to you all for making something so ridiculously brilliant come real, even if it couldn't last.Uncompromising extremist0

Oh man, that's a real shame. I was hoping to get down there at some point in the future. Oh well, on to bigger and better things for the trail builders at Esher maybe?0
