OT - Shooting stars

As always, the heavens are celebrating my birthday with a meteor shower.

Look towards the north and away from light pollution tonight for a hell of a lot of shooting stars. I usually see over one a minute, my record is 107 in an hour.
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!

    It happens every year (its called the Persied meteor shower) and people would have been blinded on this date every year for thousands of years.

    I think you'll be safe (maybe a little wet though, judging by the weather forecast).

    Logic dictates that as there are blind people in the world and that the meteor shower happens every year, then the meteor shower causes blindness

    Is always bloody cloudy. Saw one a couple of nights ago when taking some pics of a star cluster.

    Just look up after dark and see what you can see!
