What is Shimanos new DI2 system? I guess maybe wireless RF shifters, with electronic motorised shifters with battery pack? Adds weight though? What are the benefits, apart from no cable from shifter to derailler
Say... That's a nice bike..

Nope DI2 is still wired, its just computer controlled so shifts perfectly every time, and uses buttons rather thatn levers, and it only wieghs 50grams more than standard dura ace

It does clever stuff like only shifting when the cogs are in the perfect position and trimming the mechs automatically. It also allows you to have more than one set of shift buttons so on a TT bike you could have buttons on the brake levers as well as on the aero bars.

Can't understand why wireless isn't a feature, surely would make sense no cables at all...very neat system.

interferance probably, battery life and size of transmitters in the mechs another. swith mode led lights would probably disable it.
