gritty sound from bottom bracket

there is a gritty sound coming from just the non-drive side bb cup when you turn the cranks. how can i solve it?

Try and service it ie prise the seals off, clean and regrease.0

Options are just leave it,then replace when it really goes.
or leave it for a bit, then try and service it.0 -
ok, so i took the seal of, i can see teh bearings a bit and there is basically a load of brown $hit inside and i can't get to the bearings them selves :?0

ok. this will have to do. gonna upgrade to a sealed bearing bb in a few months anyway after winter0
