Who did it then??
I went down there and it was a great day. The School/Hospital you start from is fantastic and the countryside is beautiful.
We were also graced with good weather for the whole thing.
I Did the "Constable Country 50" while my mum and brother did the 11 mile version.
The route was fairly hilly in places and there were some good times, I did most of it with a bloke from Colchester I met at the first stop who was going round about my pace.
Struggled a bit at the end though, i smashed my knee on a rock 2 weeks ago while canyoning and it was giving me grief most of the way but there was a pretty sharp hill about two miles from the end which finally knackered it so i did the last couple of miles mainly on one leg.
Great day out though.0 -
I was there but see my seperate thread called " What a Pratt" that I will post in a while0

I was there. Started at 8am and did the 50. Bit blowy in places but great sunshine and a really nice route. The signage was a bit on the small, flexible side and with the wind made for some last minute changes of direction. Spoke with Racheal, the organiser, and she was really pleased with the amount of riders taking part. Pleased with my time of 2'40" considering I missed a sign and had to turn around.0

The signs weren't very good were they? Light yellow on white meant you really had to get close to see them, apparently lots of people mentioned it.
I had to make a very fast last minute left at one point as i didn't see the sign until halfway across the road i was meant to turn down!!0 -
Dnrc, was that the left turn near to Great Waldingfield, not long after Lavenham? What were you riding by the way? I was on my Red Spesh (see signature). [/quote]0

could well have been, there was a very good stretch between the second and third rest points that was flat and fast, i had a good lick on and suddenly there was a left hander down a fairly small side road i nearly missed.
I was on a plain black full carbon job, no decals/colour whatsoever except for blue bar tape.
You probably wouldn't have seen me though as i didn't start till about 9:40!
Nice bike BTW.0
