I rode what you dug last summer

    Perpetually.

M-i-L's laptop turned up for repairs... The catch on the front was missing so I had to use a screwdriver just to get the thing open, then it shut down after 1 hours use without warning... Opened the case up and removed a metric ton of purple(?) fluff from the heat-sink. Finally get it up and running reliably and there's 300mb left on drive C: and 45 gb free on drive D:

Sister called me to look at her bike. She bought it on Cycle to Work... A 2008 Kona Firemountain that has basically sat gathering dust for 18 months... Flat tyres, saddle down to the top tube. Better bike than the one I ride weekly. I set it up for her but refused to fit the bracket for the lock she bought. It'll stay there gathering dust for another 15 years no I imagine.

  • That's what family is for.

I'm constantly fixing stuff for our lot, and in return, my brother must have pretty much re-wired my entire house

24/7. I am flypaper for fixing things.

Just for once, it would be great to turn to somebody else and say 'can you...'
  • Oh god yeah, I get it in waves! I get a few months with nothing, then all at the same time bro-in-laws (motor)bike will breakdown or he'll want tuning at the sametime dad-in-law's gearbox dies in his car just coinciding with a months worth of work the ma-in-law needs doing to her stables, normally around the same time my car/bike breaks, as well as my bro needing help with his bike or building his garage or chopping down a tree and my granparents needing somthing doing too...

Spent an entire Christmas, and the rest, helping a friend sort her new house out. Stripping paint, sanding down skirting boards, fitting carpets, fitting doors, painting, plumbing.
I wouldn't mind except none of her other mates chipped in one little freaking bit.

Because I do a computing degree at uni, it's naturally assumed I know everything about them. My dad keeps bringing computers in from work for me to fix. Not really complaining when I get paid £40 to run Malwarebytes and Windows Update :P
