Bought a Hope front hoop the other day which came with a 20mm axle converter which i didn't need so i thought i'll stick it on ebay just to get rid of it really. Costs £16 new on the Hope website and thought it might make a tenner ish. In the end it sold for £2.40

Best bargain I ever got on ebay was - a Campag 11 speed Record cassette for £85. Sold as the guy wanted to upgrade to SR. What he didn't seem to realise though was that the cassette was actually SR anyway (6 titanium cogs clearly shown in the pic). Needless to say I was well happy having saved myself about £1400 -
Had a clear out of classic motorbike bits on ebay. I was selling 2 identical front mudguards for a Kawasaki z900. Same colour same model same year both in original condition with all the little scratches and wear you get when you ride but dont crash a bike. One went for £45 which was about what I had paid for it at the Stafford Bike Show. The next week the other went for £250  I even emailed the winning buyer to make sure he knew it was only a mudguard he had bought not the whole bike.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

I've lost count of the things I've sold on eBay for more than you can buy the item for brand new!
My fav was a Harris exhaust hanger for a GSX-R 1000 that retailed at £49.99 delivered to your door. Imagine my delight when two women got into a bidding war for it and eventually it sold for £64. The winner even contacted me to ask if I'd gift wrap it for her as it was going to be a birthday present for her boyfriend.
I made sure to mention her faux pas when I left feedback.0
