the two smaller ones, the one with the leg burner first, then when you get back to the road go down the rh side of the lake and do the other loop from there!

Ended up doing "Syfadrin" trail, an epic XC pedalathon. Made a changer from the usual trail centre type of ride and the scenery was great, dont attempt in bad weather though as it does take you right out into the hills where only sheep dare to go.
  • Anybody know if the 16km trail is similar or any technically harder than the shorter 9km Pendam trail?
Thinking of doing the 16km this Friday.

Did the Pendam a few wks ago now and really enjoyed it,then did Llandegla black run a week later, superb :D

I used to ride at Nant a few times a week when in Aberystwyth. I found the best route was to link both the shorter trails... starting at the centre go up the first climb, then off left down the "The Italian Job". When you get to the lake go left and follow the Pendam Trail down "Hippity Hop" which brings you back to the lake, then go through the gate on the right and up the hill over to "The mask of Zorro" (great singletrack!), up the leg burner to the top and finish on the best trail of all "High as a kite". This is a great loop of about 25Km and usually took us around 2-2.5 hours. If you are short of time just do laps of "High as a Kite" and that'll definately put a snile of your face!!
