Mongoose otero elite vs Rockrider 6.3

Both are roughly the same price but the Mongoose looks better. I know the rockrider gets a good review but is the mongoose of good quality and value? I did have a look at the rockrider in my local decathlon store and the handle bars, grips and gear shift system did feel cheap.

Unfortunatley at this price point some of the components will feel cheap, the Mongoose is easily the better buy though in this case.

Two questions:
1) do you really need rear suspension ? as you will get a better spec'd hardtail....
2) have you thought about a used full suss if that's what you want ? you may get a better spec for your money

I would say so, if items are unused.

The Mongoose gets a slightly better rear shock and brakes, but not as good a fork. The rest is very similar.

I woulld have the goose aswell, hence my suggestion....the guys at Paul's are great to deal with and had no problems with them delivering my Giant....I guess with both there would have to be a good reason for taking it back as a return though...
