Avid brakes?

Hi i have had a set of hope mono minis on one bike with sintered pads and braided lines and loved the feel power etc,
BUT new bike has avid juicy fives which i have fitted with new sintered pads and gave them a very good bleed but cannot get the lever to feel firm, would the exilir 5 or cr etc etc feel any better or do i have to save up to buy the twice as expensive hopes.
I know this is asked a lot but my main point is would the exilirs be a big step up in lever feel and power?

I always found Jucies to have quite a long and soft throw. The Elixir to me does feel a bit firmer in the lever.0

Also consider the new Deore for eyeball popping power and firm lever feel.0

This sums up what i was trying to say in a nut shell thank you
How much firmer? My hopes felt like motorbike brakes :shock:0 -
I thought it felt like a V brake set up! Some free play, then a definite bite, then progressive power.0

have you checked for disc movement?
have you let the pads bed in?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yes and yes disc is totally true and pads well bedded in, dont really want to change brakes but hate the lever feel and if the exilir 5 feel a lot better then i will save up and get them.0
