Hi

I am really keen to try out mountain biking but would like to try it out before I drop some money onto something I could potentially hate (hopefully not). I am a really keen skier so am hoping this can be my UK sport!

Does anybody know where I could rent a mt bike for a day to try out on small trails? I am based in South London.

Appreciate any tips.

Thanks

Swinley Forest have rental rides and I believe Nirvanna Cycles in Dorking allows day long tb4yb.

Also, a lot of shops will have demo bikes that they weill lend out for a few days at a time. You will normally have to pay for the cost of the bike on a credit card which they simply refund when you return it.

I know the Giant & Specialized concept stores have decent fleets, but depends on where you live.
    XC: Giant Anthem X
    Fun: Yeti SB66
Road: Litespeed C1, Cannondale Supersix Evo, Cervelo R5
    Trainer: Bianchi via Nirone
Hack: GT hardtail with Schwalbe City Jets

Leisure Lakes have one of the largest demo fleets in the UK, mostly mid-range FS bikes.

Hire is for a full 24 hrs - collect on Sat bring it back Mon.

Most trail centres have bike hiring facilities.
