chainstay protectors - ideas?

I'm sure this is blindingly obvious, but how do people fit chainstay protectors where the bare inner cable runs tight to the chainstay? Ideally i'd like to fit a neoprene one to stop the chain slapping.
Thanks

something like this would probably be ideal http://www.biketart.com/collections/cha ... /framewrapMy Nukeproof Mega

makes no difference. you may just need to tweek the gears a tad after fitting."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thanks guys
Nick, what do you mean by "it makes no difference". What do you mean by "it"?
What i'm worried about is strapping the cable to the chainstay which would clearly affect shifting... that tape looks quite a good idea?

I have a bare cable and it made no difference. I ziptied mine on and the shifting didn't change at all.0

you can just fit one of the neoprene ones, or use fabric handlebar tape which looks pretty neat, or zip tie an old inner tube on.0

I have in the past used an old inner tube.. and insulation tape.0
