On the finishing circuit. 14km left. Very wet. A Caisse rider out ahead, not sure of lead. A Polish and Skil rider inbetween.

The last km has so many puddles the cars are spraying the spectators at times!

The peloton took 25 secs in that last lap. 35secs with 8km, 2 circuits to go.

    Catch at 4km. Good effort.

Martin has to make 1 more km then he has taken the overall.

Did they disappear between 500 and 300m?

If so, 50 times sounds about right
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Many congratulations to Dan Martin for taking the overall. Very impressive from him. Hopefully he will continue improving.

Yes, precisely. 2km to 1km they were all over it. 1km to 500m they were losing it. 300m they had 2 riders - Sutton and Swift I think - dropping back. 200m Greipel came striaght through the middle with Hutarovich coming round them on the other side to take 2nd. A Milram 3rd and Bennati I think 4th.

  • Sky are better off leaving it to another team to lead it out and having two guys doing the sprinting, much like they did in the final stage of Tirreno-Adriatico

Garmin's first ProTour Stage Race win.

Martin's next goals are Plouay and Lombardia. He was 5th and 8th respectively in 09. Doesn't want to ride the Vuelta.

I dunno - everyone was complaining about Sky making lots of enemies in the peloton. The way I see it, they are running a nice fast leadout train for pretty much everyone - other than their own sprinters! Not only do they not have anyone fast enough to win the sprint, they don't have anyone fast enough to lead it out!
