I had some great rides from the cottage I was in for a week at Funtington just out side Chichester but you do have to like climbing but some of the down hills make it worth it. Night time was very good but you have to watch out for the deer. I have gps routes from my Garmin for the routes I did.

  • Definitely!!

South Downs Way a few miles to the North (80 odd miles takes you across the spine of Sussex and into Hampshire), Kingley Vale is good, there are loads of routes. Get an OS map of the area. More hills than mountains but good riding.
