Hi i'm new to this so be gental. I got a set of tange struts recently and am having difficulty putting them together. Getting the legs onto the crown seems quite difficult. I gave them to a bike mechanic and he said he coul'nt put them together but i'm not sure he's familiar with them. I got them on ebay and have been assured the parts fit. Please advise, i'm also looking at a set of 1994 pace RC 36, JUST IN CASE. I have a set ogf tange struts on at the moment but they're knackered. Many thanks.

Wow, a blast from the past!
Are the bushings and seals in the bag? They will have to be pressed in.
Are there bolts on the back of the crown?0 -
Yes it's all there in the bag. There are no bolts on the back of the crown. The legs are threaded and there is a screw that screws on the top of the leg. Trying to get the legs into the crown is hard. They have elastomers an lot of other little nuts and bits and bobs. I have seen a picture on the net of a set of tange struts taken apart and there are alot more bits and pieces with mine. You can see the thread at the top of the legs in the picture.0
