Anyone shipped anything from Chain Reaction Cycles overseas?

I have an order I'm ready to pay for but am unsure if I will be hit with any additional duties shipping from the UK to Canada. Has anyone ever bought something and had it shipped overseas from there? Its a birthday present for my cousin and I dont want him hit with any additional costs when it arrives at his door.

Have it delivered to your address then.

CRC are probably the best people to ask. If your on facebook add them, they have a page and normally get back to you within a day or two.

Just e-mail your customs people, thats what I did here in NZ.

They said that bike parts dont incur any additional duties but once the VAT value exceeds $50 NZD you get hit with the VAT plus an admin charge of $37.50, so if it is a relatively cheap part you may be ok.

But easier to contact them and ask NZ ones where most helpful.
