Gearing on hire bikes at Newport

Does anyone know what gearing they use on the hire bikes at Newport?

Reason being a few of us will have our own bikes for our next visit, but all want to have the same gearing when we go so as to keep a level playing field for mates on hired bikes.

Most of the hire bikes are either 86 or 88. If you’re going on a coached session you don’t want anything bigger then that anyway. I ride virtually all of my training sessions on 84.

You got to be going some to be significantly quicker than someone using 86" Teaches you to spin at 130-150 rpm, too high a gear and when you've blow up its a censored trying to ride up the banking...
