Maxxis tyre sizes

Hi.
I'm looking at purchasing a maxxis minion tyre for up front on my bike and was wondering if it would be smart to buy a 2.5 in stead of 2.35 inch due to maxxis' 'generous' sizing? will this work?
Any help will be appreciated :)

    DH bike then the 2.5 is fine.

    anything else and you are mad.

    2.35 comes up as 2.2ish, my 2.5 Minion comes up more like a 2.3-4 - but it still has nuts grip so not complaining :P

    Maxxis High rollers come up small, and so i run a 2.5, but for everything else maxxis i run a 2.35 or similar.

    unless its DH go for the 2.35
    I like bikes and stuff
