ive spent the last two weeks trying to find out how much a troutie would be...
and the wesite only ever says "currently being updated"
im really keen to buy one.
but am also begining to get fed up with the amount of time its taking to change a website... most people (including myself with no experience of web design) would leave it as is and update it with an offline version lol.
hopefully it wont take him/ them long ot sort out. or i will just have ot buy a hopewww.settingascene.com - MTBing in Wilts and the southwest, join up for info and ride details.0 -
I think Troutie often posts on Singletrack World, have you asked on there?0

troutie used to be a regular on stw. (not been on for a while though so dont know at the mo!) prolly your best bet, iirc he also joined here so a members search may bring him up???Timmo.

This post on singletrack contains a response from trout regarding his lights - as I understand from the post, he has had a few 'technical' issues with a new computer!

Hi guys,
Trouties got a guy re vamping his site ready for this years new lights he will be building 8)
Basically he tried to do it himself and realised it wasnt as easy as building lights and left it in a mess0 -
Hi Guys
whilst I have beed off the radar for quite a while and am not making excuses for any lack of responses if you have emailed me recently .
This year has had its fair share of problems in the Trout houshold with a couple of deaths in the family .early on
so most of my time was spent supporting my wife and sorting out the estate .
on top of that yes my cronky old computer went belly up and lost all my stuff
( yes it should have been backed up but )
during that time I had a go at updating the website and made a total hash of it
and my day job of flooring fitter which has been terrible suddenly got busy much to my banks relief .
and to cut a long story short last week I had a guy enquire about a light and it turned out he lived fairly close and was also a Graphic designer . so a deal was done with lights and him doing an update on my website Thankfully .
so there should be info going up there soon .0 -
on the lights front
I have only a few of the 7UP monster 2000 lumens lights left
and a few of the 4 led little Troutlets
and am working on some new stuff for this winter
so as they say on the telly nornal service will be resumed soon .
If by any chance you have mailed me and not had a reply I am sorry and please resend your mail I have a spangly new computer and am getting to gripps with windows 7 slowly ( old dog learning new tricks )0 -
Looks like things are moving over at the Troutelight factory!! His website has been re done too, looks impressive. www.troutie.com
"Lumen Liberator MkIII at the machine shop!!!!".......Limited stocks... Best get my name down for one of those beauties Just in time for the darker nights.0 -
Ooooh shiny0

The pictures for the up and coming MkIII aren't up on the site yet but the finish of the previous Liberator and the other lights look spot on!!
Hats off for British Engineering and nouse !0 -
The website definitely needs a better page to browse products etc seems hard work finding prices hehe :P0

Still a bazillion times better than the old ones. If my redundancy comes through I might just treat myself to a 7 Up, or whatever the new model might be... Not that there's anything wrong with my P7s but you know, gear aquisition syndrome...Uncompromising extremist0 -
When you find a cure for that let me know. Ive got it bad and shiny lights and things that I really don't need are not helping my recovery.
I think there's something really nice about products that are 'homemade' with passion to this sort of standard. I'm a big fan of Exposure and I can totally see the attraction to the DX light. Guess that's why there's choice in the world.0 -
Yeah I really like the look of the lights... just need to find some cash somewhere lol0
