I'm so tempted to by an Mmmbop frame at that price. Could probs sell the Bfe on and get some more shiney bits with the money I'd have left over...

Comments

  • Is the Bfe not VERY similar geometry wise though?

What dont you like about the Bfe?

Nowt wrong with the BFe, you know when you're just bored and looking at bike websites, and your brain tells you to buy stuff?

I wouldnt swap that frame for any other LT hardtail.

Its the funnest bike I have ever ridden (and gawd have ridden a few)

If you want to buy stuff - buy stuff for the BFe

That frame brings nothing to my mind but 'meh'.

They have some superb Vitus road frames going for next to nothing. I've been biting my credit card finger since I saw them to stop myself...

I'd take the Bfe over the Mmmbop every time. The Mmmbop is very Meh to me too.

Exactly my thinking only with a Soul. Not sure if it's going to work, but even though the Soul's the "better" frame and, well, RRP is over 3 times as much as these Mmmbops, they do different jobs. I reckon the Mmmbop might just be more suited for my normal riding. And I ought to be able to sell the Soul, even though it's had a pretty hard year, and its 130mm Revelation for enough to fund the brand new Mmmbop and a 140mm fork of some sort, if I decide to go that route.

Not really understanding the "meh" comments, the Mmmbop stands out from a crowd more than the fairly conventional BFe. It's ugly mind but I don't see it as meh. Quite the opposite.

It was the Mmmbop that provoked the meh. Can something provoke a meh? Provokes seems too emphatic... Spawned a meh? Coagulated into a meh? Maybe that's better...

    Saying that, it is cheap.

I need no special frame to stand out in a crowd. My bad riding does that for me!

Well, I just sold my 456 to be replaced by the Mmmbop.

    It's personal preference really.

The Mmmbop is slacker, and a LOT lighter than the 456, but it's also lots stiffer.

ah, yeah, the mmbop is alloy isn't it, would make it lighter and stiffer than the 456. i'll stick with a 456 and see how i get on, have wanted one for ages.

Mmmbop is having all the stuff off the 456 frame put on it.

WIP thread in the Your MTB section. If I'm lucky, will be complete by tonight.
