Hi
I have a Scott Ransom 40 '07. I've had no end of problems with the equaliser shock over the 3 years i've owned it (even after just paying 95 pounds to have it serviced) and want to get rid! Can anyone recommend a similar alternative with a more reliable rear shock?
Thanks

All I can say is that I feel your pain! I haven't had any problems other than one. Quite simply that Scott customer service is quite frankly horrendous, especially for a company aiming at the 'premium' end of the market.
2 years of Ransom ownership....1 free shock service 3 MONTHS to return. They can f**k right off if thats the norm.
Other than that I love my Ransom more than is healthy for a normal human :oops:Scott Ransom 10

I havn't dealt with scott customer service directly. I had shock serviced through evans and there customer service was fine as usual. Just not sure why problems are persisting after an expensive service. i got the bike back and neg valve snapped when adjusting set up. they sent me a new valve free and fitted it. I've ridden it properly once since then for about an hour and noticed change in shocks responsiveness afterwards. went to check air pressures again and some sort of red rubber seal has worked its way out of the pos. valve head.
any ideas what this may be/why this might of happened?
I really love the bike too when it works but ive had enough of it!
