The PTP black hole continues.

Sagan out of the race. Not sure why. Tondo (Cervelo) broken a collarbone too.

stages 1-3 were cr*p, but yesterday was quite enjoyable; let's hope that today's hilly stage works out OK - there's a very decent 5km mountain top finish.

Right now Ben Swift in a break, with Bozic and Bodnar.

How far to go? Swift is a pretty fast finisher from memory.

I'd be very surprised if he'd survive that final climb. It's not Alpe d'Huez, but difficult enough to get the climbers out

About 30 km to go - one time the climb on the lap, than to the mountain finish

Well done to fellow Irishman Dan Martin. Made the nice jump and stayed away. Good to see him finally win one - and take the leader's jersey also!

  • Dan dares while the others dither. Yellow jersey as a reward.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    DAN MARTIN

Been a long time waiting to add a win from him to my sig. He said he liked this race and was keen to do well. He may be next year's Tour surprise from Garmin!

I thought Brian Smith explained it all.

Neil Martin - born Tamworth, Staffordshire, England on fools day 1960.
His son Daniel - born Birmingham, England - 20th August 1986 was
British National Junior RR Champion in 2004
Irish National Junior RR Champion in 2006 to Irish National Champion in 2008.

Brian's point being there are too many up and coming GB riders and only one (this year) Pro Tour team and very little else here for riders to shine in.
GB riders need to get noticed outside the country and take up other licences.

You will hear this repeated over and over by Harmon in the next few years.

Grew up in Canada. But here's a clue as to what country I'm currently riding for:

That was an excellent stage finish. Don't think I've ever seen a mountain top finish in the Tour of Poland before. Very welcome.

Now who on earth is Diego Ulissi?

Wow. First time I've seen it - that acceleration was unreal. I wish the camera was in front so we could see the gap grow.

And his mom is Stephen Roche's sister. But of course that has nothing to do with his nationality or his abilities.

Dan is the most talented young stage racer either side of the Irish Sea.

BTW: WTF does your location mean?
