Am i right in thinking that a Campag Super Record Ultra Torque Chainset has no real bottom bracket and all that is needed is the BB cups and chainset ?

Yes - the bearing are press-fit onto the half-shafts which are integral with the cranks. All you need are the right cups for your frame - English, Italian or BB30
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I have a 2007 Centaur Ultra Torque on the audax bike

It is not weather proof at all

If it gets in any kind of rain, it has to be taken to bits and regreased. This is easy to do but it is a PitA compared to a fully sealed BB like a UN54

It is kinda cool being able to see through the hollow axle but this doesn't make up for the extra faffing about
