Hi all
Going to Dalby at weekend but dont have time for the full red route. What is the best section of the red route to try say in about 1hr 30mins? Will have to use some of the blue or green to make a loop?
Thanks

Imo i would say start at low dalby but ride past the start past the bike shop then take a left, ride up the tarmac road till you see the gate for the last section on the left, hit the last section but take a right where it forks of to go down to the car park, follow till the end of the section then bare right on to the blue section and follow the fire road climb till you get the top and a T junction bare left then stay on this fire road all the way to dixons hollow. At dixons hollow turn right on the the forest drive follow that till you get to a corner and a shed carry straight on past the metal bar then turn right at the T junction, after about 200 metres you will find the red route gate on your right where the bombholes are then stay on the red route all the way back to the car park.0

i would start at dixons hollow and do all the red route down to dalby village, but it does depend on how fast you are.
also, if you dont mind uphill orientated riding, you could do the red route from the village up to dixons hollow. it has a few good fast flowing downhill sections on it. it takes about an hour and you can take the road back to the village.
also, you could ride up to dixons hollow, and ride on the road on a gradual uphill, and when you get to a shed thing on the first corner( well it is a shed with a forestry worker in) do not go round the corner(corner turns left), but go straight ahead on a fire road and follow it round to the right(when another fire road joins it on the left). there should be some signs for the red route. i personally think that this part of the trail is the best. if you have time, you can ride the trail all the way back into the village, but if not, there are regular signs with an arrow saying "escape" which if you follow, will take you along fire roads back to the villagecommencal meta 5.5.30 -
for a quick 45 minute blast if i'm short for time i park at dixons hollow and follow the red route round from there. After about 7 or 8 miles you'll cross the forest road a couple of times - when you have to cross for the third time the route goes off on a forest road but stay on the road for about 3/4 mile and you'll end up back at dixons hollow for a play! This takes in some of the world cup route and is a nice flowing route with only one big climb0
