I must admit before I bought my epic, I hadn't really looked into what else to get, and rushed into getting it, but I'm glad I did, I can't believe how far bikes have come since the last time I rode ( trials granted and nearly ten years ago) but specialized seems to be the nuts, I have a customer of mine who owns an s works and that is amazing , maybe one day.

Got my panaracers today , fitted them when I got home not had a chance to ride yet, however did manage to have my first 'off' due to my spds , found it quite funny as just rolled over onto my front lawn.

For brake rub see this. I use a a strap to lock the brakes... works every time.

Thanks , unfortunatly already tried this , and it didn't work think the disc may be slightly warped ! Grrrrrrrrr. It's not too bad now and must admit it barely rubs,

Well thank you, I love it , it's not the cheapest bike but seems worth every penny.

Quick update on the epic, my carbon fetish has been quelled slightly by some carbon bars, which shall be fitted tonight and the panaracer tyres are great, I had a big off on Sunday, and thought I had broken my arm. Was X-rayed and told it was broken plastered up etc etc, cut a long story short they were wrong , now out of plaster and ready for the BHF ride in a couple of weeks.
Pics will follow once I have fitted the bars.
