bike buying dilema !

ok i have a mongoose mtb with roadcruisers on and a boardman mtb with landcruisers on..........i was going to buy a scott sub 40 ..but been out with my mate today who has a GT hybrid mainly on road ...my mongoose was out performing his hybrid.......so should i just stick with my mongoose and use that as a hybrid type...or buy a scott sub 40, but i now feel as though i would be wasteing my money...what do we all think ?

Stick with what you have. If anything, buy some rigid forks and save some weight.
